Dutch warships Zr.Ms. Rijn and Jason underway towards the Levant according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 9 February 1843

De Rijn or Rhijn

An item referred to tidings received from Athens, Greece dated 12th January reporting that the Dutch frigate Rijn (10 captain lieutenant D. Bijl de Vroe en the corvette Zr.Ms. Jason (2) captain E.G. van der Plaat after a short stay at Piraeus, Greece continued their voyage towards the Levant.

Glavimans in March 1813, handed over to the Netherlands in 1814 and renamed Rijn, launched on 5 October 1816, lengthened in 1825, conversion into a paddle steamship failed, shortened 1830, guard ship at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands and Willemsoord, Netherlands since 1852, broken up at Hellevoetsluis in 1875, dimensions 145 x 36,8 x 19 French feet or 55,25 x 12,3 x 5,75 metres and an armament of 44-54 guns (since 1830).

Glavimans 1824, launched 1829, docked at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands 30 May-11 June 1834, guard ship at Willemsoord, Netherlands 1847, condemned 30 April 1850, sold on the navy yard at Willemsoord for ƒ 23.0000 to be broken up Tuesday 10.00 o’clock 19 November 1850, 1461 tons displacement and armament of 44 guns.
