American whaler Monticello of Nantucket, USA sold towards New London, USA according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 23 August 1859

An item reported that the Monticello of Nantucket of 386 tons with an age of 17 years which on 14 January 1858 from a whaling cruise was sold for 4.000 dollars to Dr. Stoddard of New London, USA. The intention was to keep her in service as a whaler.
