Part of the squadron commanded by don Álvaro de Bazán which conquered the isle Tercera in 1583, belonged to the ships from Guipuzcoa and Vizcaya, commanding officer García del Encinar, a crew numbering 379 men (89 sailors, 290 soldiers) and a tonnage of 726 toneladas.
