An item reported the arrival on Thursday 11th of the clipper ship Syren Captain Green of Boston, USA and the Gladiator captain Luce of New Bedford, USA fully loaded with oil and whalebone coming from the Sandwich Islands. The Syren left Honolulu, Hawaii on 16th April and the Gladiator on 31st March.
