Heavily damaged Norwegian bark Hudson entered Port Elizabeth underway from Burma towards England according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 21 October 1899

An item dated Port Elizabeth, South Africa 18th reported that the Norwegian bark Hudson captain Hellum underway from Moulmain, Burma towards Falmouth, England arrived complete mastless with just remaining parts of the foremast and bowsprit.
