Part of the Escort Task Group 090 (ETG989). Type 054A frigate, called by the NATO a Jiangkai II frigate. Displacement 3.600 (standard)-4.053 (full load) tonnes and as dimensions134,1 x 16 metres. Fitted out with a helicopter. The armament consisted of 1x32cell VLS HQ-16 Sam against submarines, 2x4C-803 anti ship/land missiles, 1-7,6cm gun, 2x3-32,4cm torpedo launchers, 2x6 Type 87 24cm anti-submarine rocket launchers and 2xType726-4 18-tube decoy rocket launchers. Launched at the Huangpu Shipyard on 8 February 2009 and commissioned on 18 January 2010.
