Dutch steamship Alpha lying at Tenerife, Canary Islands for further examination according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 17-12-1902

An item dated Rotterdam, Netherlands 16^th reported that on board of the Dutch steamship Alpha which arrived on the 13^th at Tenerife, Canary Islands coming from Cardiff, England an explosion found place in her cargo coal. After an investigation was the advice to unload her for further investigations. There were no casualties.(1)
