An OPV-64 Raïs Bargach-class offshore patrol vessel for which the design of a Leroux&Lotz patrol vessel was used as basic design. Launched by Lorient Naval Industry [STX France SA] on 26 September 1996 and commissioned in 15 December 1996. Displacement 580 tonnes, a measurement of 650 tonnes burthen and as dimensions 64 x 11,42 x 3 metres, With a horsepower of 7,6MW allowing a speed of 8 (economical/electrical mode0-25 knots and with a range of 4.000 nautical miles by a speed of 12 knots and 3.000 nautical miles with a speed of 15 knots. The armament consists of 1-4cm Bofors gun, 2-2cm Oerlikon anti aircraft guns and 2x2-1,45cm machineguns. The crew numbers 64 men with accommodation for an additional 8 men.
