Portuguese frigate NPR Comandante Sacadur Cabral (F483) 1967-2008 and Uruguayan frigate Comandante Pedro Campbell 2008-


Laid down at the shipyard Compagnie des ateliers et forges de la Lorie, Nantes, France on 18 August 1967, launched on 15 March 1967. Commissioned on 25 November 1969. Sold in April 2008 to Uruguay. Since 8 April 2008 in service as the Uruguayan frigate Comandante Pedro Campbell (ROU 02). Of the Comandante João Belo-class based on the French Comandant Rivière-class. Displacement 1.750 (standard)-2.250 (maximum) ton and as dimensions 108,5 x 12 x 4,4 metres. Fitted out with 2 diesel engines with 16.000 hp horsepower. Speed 23,5 knots. With a speed of 15 knots a range of 7.500 nautical miles. Her crew in Portuguese service numbered 15 officers, 27 petty officers and 122 sailors. The armament consisted of 2-10cm guns, 2-4cm anti aircraft guns and 2x3-32,4cm torpedo tubes.
