An item reported the departure that morning of the Dutch schooner Zr. Ms. Padang lieutenant 1st class De Haan from Vlissingen, Netherlands towards open sea.(1)

1. Schooner brig on stocks at navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands on 20 February 1849, launched on Saturday 13 April 1850, stricken in 1860, dimensions 28,50 x 8,7 x 3,30 metres, displacement 252 tons. an armament of 4-6 guns with a crew numbering 50 men. Served in the Dutch East Indies.
