Dutch 6th charter Sneek 1687-1697

Of the admiralty Amsterdam, built by Jan van Rheenen at naval yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1687, stranded on Ameland, Netherlands in a storm without survivors on 1 October 1697, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 125 (prow) x 31½ x 12½, an armament of 36-44 guns and a crew numbering 165 men. In 1688 part of the fleet which brought king-stadtholder William III to England, captain Ph. v.d. Goes and in 1696 part of North Sea squadron lieutenant admiral Van Almonde, captain Louis van Leyden à Leeuwen. Captured on 1 May 1697 the French Le Fanfaron.
