Dutch government steamship Lucifer cruising in the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 17 July 1888

An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 16th  reported the arrival of the Dutch government steamship Lucifer captain Hakkers coming from Anjer. On the 17th she departed towards Palembang, Dutch East Indies.(1)

1. Launched at the Scheepswerf De Maas, Rotterdam, Netherlands steel-built screw steamship for the coastal lightning and buoys on 16 Novemberin 1887. length 39,5 metres, Speed 10 miles. Condemned for fulfilling her tasks in 1912. The intention was to use her according the budget 1915 for the so-called silty labour. Call sign GSDB. Building costs ƒ 120.000.
