Dutch lugger Jacoba sunk after collision according to the Dutch newspaper De standaard dated Friday 28 November 1898

An item reported that the Dutch lugger Jacoba of Scheveningen, Netherlands was overrun by an unknown steamship and sunk. Her crew was saved and brought to Ijmuiden, Netherlands. The newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad 28th supplied more details. The master of the Jacob was M. Rog, her owner Albert de Jong, her crew was saved by a lugger with as master M. Kuiper owned by D. Zuurmond arriving yesterday afternoon.
