Dutch shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde at Vlissingen, Netherlands manufactured boilers for Dutch tugs Sidaya and Tandjong Kapala account of the Dutch Department of Colonies in 1894


In the order administration dated 10/24 July 1894 was the order for account of the Dutch Department of Colonies described as the delivery of two steel made boilers for the tugs Sidayal type A (boiler number 215) 9½”x 7’1½”, heating surface 457 square feet and for the Tandjong Kapala type B (boiler number 216) 9½”x 6’1”and a heating surface of 323 square feet. The boilers were to be delivered on board at Rotterdam or Amsterdam, Netherlands. Contracted price for number 215 ƒ 4.950 and for number 216 ƒ 4.250.

Building costs totally ƒ 5.264 resulting in a profit of ƒ 3.936,00.
Building costs boiler 215 totally ƒ 2.793,00 (stores ƒ 1.335:64, labour ƒ 911:00, expenses 60% ƒ 46,30)
Building costs boiler 216 totally ƒ 2.471,00 (stores ƒ 1.127,17, labour ƒ 839,43, 60% expenses ƒ 504,40).
