Tuscan galley Toskanen sent out for chasing pirates of the Barbary States according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haerlemsche couranyt dated10 May 1774

An item dated Livorno, Italy 23rd April reported that when tidings were received that two pirates of the Barbary States were active surrounding waters immediately was ordered to sent the royal galley Toskanen for chase for them. She immediately departed.(
