Dutch corvette Zr. Ms. Pallas bound for Nieuwediep, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissings Weekblad dated 24 June 1865

An item dated Vlissingen, Netherlands 23rd reported that the Dutch corvette Zr. Ms. Pallas (1) captain lieutenant W.C. Klis (2) would depart on next Monday the Dok (=Dokhaven) towards the roads with as final destination Nieuwediep, Netherlands.

Flush deck corvette, call sign GQRC, on stocks at the navy yard at Rotterdam, Netherlands on 7 June 1839, launched on 19 June 1845, docked at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands between 18 January-14 April 1853, last mentioned in 1873, dimensions 39,50 x 10,80 x 5,00 metres, 900 tons displacement and an armament of 18-22 guns.
2. Willem Christoffel Klis (04-05-1819 The Hague, Netherlands-6 November 1897 The Hague, Netherlands), retired in the rank of rear admiral.
