Dutch screw steamship 4th class Maas en Waal stationed in the waters of Riouw and Linga, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche staatscourant dated 1 June 1866

An item referred to a tiding dated 14 April 1866 supplying more details dealing with the activities of the ships belonging to the Dutch squadron in the Dutch East Indies. The Dutch screw steamship Maas en Waal (1) lieutenant 1st class C.A.B.D. Rijk was stationed in the waters of Riouw and Linga, Dutch East Indies.

Screw steamship 4th class, call sign GQND, laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands on slip no. 4 on 19 February 1861, launched on 22 September 1862, commissioned on 1865, left the shipyard on 30 September 1865, decommissioned on 11 May 1874 and stricken in 1874, building costs ƒ 259.006,76, displacement 586 ton, dimensions 40,70 (between perpendiculars) x 8,16 x 3,20 metres, horsepower 80 hp and an armament of 4 guns.
