British navy building new kind of battleship according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1904-1905 no. 7


An item reported that the British navy intended to built a new kind of battleship with hardly any freeboard, low masts and funnels creating the smallest target as possible. Further more was she to be extremely heavy armoured.(1)

1. The HMS Dreadnought, ordered in 1905, laid down at the HM Dockyard, Portsmouth, England on 2 October 1905, launched on 10 February 1906, commissioned on 2 December 1906, decommissioned in February 1919 and finally broken up in 1923?
