Nigeria obtaining own navy according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1939 no. 4

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated January 1939 reporting that Nigeria within short notice had her own navy. A decision of the British crown approved that decision on Nigerian costs. The future personnel could be trained on board of each British warships and had to deal with the same regulations as the British navy.
