An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht dated 17 April 1937 reporting that the French navy possessed 4-354 ton minesweepers of the Granit-design and 12 aviso’s 2nd class with a displacement of 250-300 tons which were to be stricken on short notice and around 25 aviso‘s with a displacement of 600-650 tons however with a draught of more as 3 metres. Within short notice was the mine service to be strengthened by 18-630 ton minesweepers.
