Building started of Austrian Monarch-class battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 4

Habsburg-class

An item referred to the Naval and Military Record that the Austrian navy intended to lay down four instead of three battleships as replacement of the 3 of the Monarch-class. Although the needed budget was not approved seemed in the spring already the keels to be laid down.(1)

1. Coastal defence ships built between 1893-1896 and succeeded by the Habsburg-class battleships. Consisted of the Wien, Budapest and Monarch.
