Italian light cruiser (ex-Helgoland) Brindisi in 1923


Launched in 1912, completed in 1915, displacement 3.444 tons, horsepower 25.000 hp, coal-oil fired turbine direct drive and an armament of 9-3.9” guns, 4 smaller and machineguns, 3x2 torpedo tubes and 12o mines.(1)

1. Former Austrian cruiser SMS Helgoland of the Novara-class scout cruisers, laid down at Danubius, Fiume [nowadays Croatia] on 28 October 1911, launched on 23 November 1912, completed on 5 September 1914, handed over to Italy on 19 September 1920, depot ship since 26 November 1929 and stricken on 11 March 1937.
