Dutch screw steamship 4th class Zr. Ms. Vecht serving in the south and eastern department of Borneo, Dutch East Indie according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche staatscourant dated 6 August 1864

An item referred to tidings dated 14 June 1864 dealing with the movements of the Dutch squadron in the Dutch East Indies reported that the Dutch screw steamship 4th class Zr. Ms. Vecht lieutenant 1st class jhr. J.S.O. von Schmidt auf Altenstadt was part of the naval force in the south and eastern department of Borneo, Dutch East Indies.(1)

1. On stocks at the shipyard Kromhout of D. Borkus, Gouda, Netherlands on 6 September 1859, launched in 1860, commissioned on 15 January 1861, condemned and sold at the naval establishment at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies on Saturday 21 April 1866, dimensions 38,00 x 8,16 x 3,20 metres, a displacement of 586 tons, horsepower 80nhp/200 ehp. Speed 6-7 knots, an armament of 6 guns and a crew numbering 75 men.
