Russian hydrofoil missile boat Project 206MR Vikhr or Matka-class 1977-
Official designation is Project 206MR Vikhr but by the NATO called Matkas-class. Preceded by the well known Osa-class and in fact a modernized Turya class torpedo boat design. Totally 12 built which serve(d) in the Soviet/Russian, Ukrainian and Georgian (the Tbilisi destroyed in 2008) navies. With a displacement p 233 (standard)-257 (full load) tons and as dimensions 38,6 x 7,6 x 3,26 metres or 126.8 x 24.11 x 10.8 feet. The machinery consisted of 3-M503 B2 Diesels supplying totally 15.000 hp allowing a speed of 42 knits and with a speed of 37 knots a range of 37 knots and 1.450 nautical miles with 14 knots speed. Crew numbers/numbered 30 men. The armament consisted of 1-7,6cm gun, 1-AK630 gun system abd 2 P-15 Termit anti ship missiles although the latter were in the Russian units replaced y 8 SS-N-25 missiles.
