British Royal Navy started with training personnel in using turbines according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1906-1907 No.4

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau reporting that the British Admiralty decided to start with the training of personnel for the turbines to be placed on all new ships. Naval engineers were stationed on merchant ships for practical experience and among the machinery and stokers personnel were competent men selected to be also trained.
