British Royal Navy experimenting with manning reserve torpedo boats according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1906-1907 No.4

An item referred to the Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete de Seewesens reported that the new system in the British Royal Navy to keep torpedo boats in reserve manned although with an decreased number of sailors proved to be a good decision regarded the very satisfying results during the last torpedo manoeuvres. In the past while mobilizing the boats were constant machinery failures common, something what now seems to be solved and all manoeuvres could without problems be executed.
