American cabinet asked for naval budget of 75 millions US dollars according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra post dated 11 January 1909

An item reported that the American cabinet sent a bill proposal to the Congress asked approval of a budget of 75 million US dollars needed for building 4-25.000 tons battleships, 4 cruisers and 19 smaller ships.(1)
