An item dated Washington, USA 22nd reported that the American House of Representatives approved with 158 against 108 the proposal of the naval commission to build 2 of the 4 battleships desired by the cabinet.(1)

Or the New York-class consisting of the New York (laid down on 11 September 1911) and Texas (ordered on 17 April 1911), preceded by the Wyoming-class and succeeded by the Nevada-class. Displacement 27.433 (standard)-28.822 (full load) tons and a main armament of 5x2-135,6cm/14” /45 cal guns?
