Dutch 9th charter Neptunus 1675-1697
Of the admiralty Amsterdam, one deck, built at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1675-1676, last mentioned in 1697, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 96 x 24-24½ x 10½, an armament of 20-26 guns and a crew numbering 75-100 men. The available sources differs about this ship, suggestd is that there two ships with the same name built in 1675, one 8th and one 9th charter. In 1712 is one Neptunus sold for ƒ 2.400 on 21 February 1712, indicated built in 1675 by Jan van Rheenen at the naval yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands. Part of fleet which brought king-stadtholder William III to England in 1688 captain Claas [Jansz] Boek, 1696 captain Rombouts.
