Dutch clipper frigate Koffijboom burnt at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch handlebar dated 21 November 1868
An item reported that in the afternoon of 19th November in the roads of Surabaya, Dutch East Indies the Dutch ship Koffijboom catches fire and burned to the waterline. In the morning of the 20th she was still burning. She was loaded with around 11.000 pikols (pikul-61,7 kilo) sugar. (1)

According to an item dated Alblasserdam 18th published in the Rotterdamsche courant dated 19 February 1864 was the keel laid down of the frigate ship of 672 measured lasten [1.300 ton] by shipbuilder Jan Smit Cz.
