Australian navy strengthened with British destroyers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1920 no. 3

An item reported that the Australian navy was strengthened with 6 former British destroyers, an increase already promised before the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. The involved ships were the Anzac with a displacement of around 1.600 tons, a speed of 34 miles and an armament of 4-10,2cm as a flotilla leader and furthermore the Swordsman, Stalwart, Success, Tasmanian and Tattoo with a displacement of more as 1.100 tons, a speed of 36 miles and armament of 3-10,cm guns. There were none details supplied dealing with the torpedo armament.
