Royal British Navy testing fire control system on board of HMS Thunderer according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1912-1913 no. 10

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau No. 9 reported that after the tests with the fire director now a new fire control system [Dreyer Fire Control Table] invented by commodore Dreyer (1) was to be tested on board of the HMS Thunderer.(2)

1. Sir Frederic Charles Dreyer (8 January 1878 Parsonstown, Ireland-11 December 1956 Winchester, England), served in the Royal British Navy between 1891 and 1943 in the rank of admiral.
2. Her building at the yard of Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Company at the mouth of the Bow Creek on the west side at Canning Town as part of the Orion-class was ordered in 1909, laid down on 13 April 1910, launched on 1 February 1911, commissioned in May a year later and decommissioned in 1921 to became a year later a seagoing training ship for cadets and finally paid off in November 1926 in December 1926 and grounded off Blythe on her last voyage to the scrap yard. Building costs were 1,892,823 pound sterling. After her completion was the yard bankrupt!
