The armament of French navy row- and steamboats according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1897-1898 No. 7

An item referred to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens reporting that after tests the French navy decided to fit the row- and steamboats of 10 metres length and longer to fit out with 4,cm quick firing guns and the smaller boats with 3,cm quick firing guns.
