American battleships USS Utah, Florida, Wyoming and Arkansas no longer in active service according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1924 no. 4

An item referred to the Naval and Military Record dated 5 March 1924 reporting that the boilers of the American battleship HMS Utah (1), Florida (2), Wyoming (3) and Arkansas (4) were in such a worse condition that their maximum speed was no more as 15 miles. The ships were part of the Scouting Division by redrawn from active service until their boilers were renewed. As a result numbered the US fleet at that moment just 14 capital ships in active service.

1. The BB-31. Building ordered on 13 May 1908, laid down by New York Shipbuilding Corporation on 9 March 1929, launched by Mary Alice Spry on 23 December 1909, commissioned on 31 August 1911, target ship since 1 July 1931, sunk during Japanese aircraft attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, USA on 7 December 1941, decommissioned on 5 September 1944 and stricken on 13 November 1944. Of the Florida-class consisting of the Florida and the Utah, preceded by the Delaware class and succeeded by the Wyoming class.
2. The BB-30 laid down at the New York Naval Shipyard on 8 March 1909, launched on 12 May 1910, commissioned on 15 September 1911, decommissioned on 16 February 1931 and sold to be broken up on 6 April 1932. Of the Florida-class consisting of the Florida and the Utah, preceded by the Delaware class and succeeded by the Wyoming class.
3. Laid down at William Cramp&Sons, Philadelphia, USA on 9 February 1910, launched by Dorothy Eunice Knight on 25 May 1911, commissioned on 25 September 1912, converted into a training ship between 1931-1932, gunnery training ship since November 1941, decommissioned on 1 August 1947, stricken on 16 September 1947 and sold to be broken up on 30 October 1947 which was executed by Lipsett Incorporated at Newark after her arrival at New York on 5 December 1947. Of the Wyoming-class with as sister ship Arkansas (BB-33), preceded by the Florida-class and succeeded by the New York-class.
4. Laid down at New York Shipbuilding Corporation on 25 January 1910, launched by Mary Louise Macon on 14 January 1911, commissioned on 17 September 1912,sunk as part of the Operation Crosssroads (nuclear weapon test) at the Bikini Atol on 25 July 1946, decommissioned on 29 July 1946 and stricken on 15 August 1946. Of the Wyoming-class with as sister ship Arkansas (BB-33), preceded by the Florida-class and succeeded by the New York-class.
