Germany building more small cruisers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1901-1902 no. 11

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that for the German navy in 1902 small 4th class cruisers of the improved Gazelle design were to be laid down. The length was in creased with 10 metres and the beam with a half metre. The machinery was stronger allowing a speed of minimum 23 miles against the 21,5 miles of their predecessors. The armament was also slightly heavier with as result that the displacement became 3.000 tons.
