An item referred to the magazine Engineering reporting the launching of the Haitian cruiser Crête-a-Pierrot was launched on 7th November at the shipyard of Earle’s Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, England. Displacement of 1.000 tons and a flush decked. Armament would consist of 1-16cm quick firing gun fore, 1-12cm quick firing gun aft, 4-10cm quick firing guns in sponsons in the broadsides, 2 Maxim and 4 Nordenfelt machineguns and a cast steel ram.
