Portuguese gunboats Honorio Barreto launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1895-1896 No. 7

An item reported the launching of the Portuguese gunboat Honorio-Barreto at Huyg Parry, Ginjal, Portugal. Dimensions 30,25 (between perpendiculars) x 6 x 0,84 metres and a displacement of 93 tons. The armament consisted of 2-4,7cm quick firing guns and 1-08cm Nordenfelt machinegun protected by as steel made protected with a height of 2 metres creating a kind of turret. Speed 9 miles.(1)
