Spanish gunboat Hernan Cortes launched in England according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1895-1896 No. 7

An item reported the launching at Thomson, England of the 300 tons gunboat Hernan Cortes, one of the 7 ships to serve at Cuba.(1)
