An item reported that a diver working at the wreck of the French battleship Liberté (1) sunk in the harbour of Toulon, France was attacked by an octopus. Despite his defence refused the octopus to release him. With a signal he managed to alarm other divers who brought him to the surface still with the octopus holding him fast. His mates cut off the arms of the octopus to save the man.
