Italian floating cranes built at Schiedam, Netherlands tested according to the Dutch newspaper Schiedamsche Courant dated 3 September 1911

An item reported that on yesterday afternoon at the shipyard tests were executed with a huge floating crane of which the yard was to deliver 3 of this kind, 2 for the Italian government and 1 for a private Italian yard. Those cranes had a lifting capacity of 150 tons over a distance of 26,50 metres and 40 tons at 45,50 metres. In the maximum position was the top 60 metres above the waterline. The first crane [yard number 410] arrived recently at Spezia, Italy and now was the second one tested with excellent results. A huge public was present including several authorities.(1)
