Turkish central battery ironclad Mesudiye sunk by British submarine B-11 according to the Dutch newspaper Tilburgsche courant dated 15 December 1914


An item dated London, England 14th reported that a British submarine managed to pass the mine blockade in the Dardanelles returning safely after she torpedoed the Turkish battleship Massudich (1) causing her sinking.

1. The central battery ironclad Mesudiye, laid down by Thames Iron Works, England in 1872, launched in 1874, commissioned in December 1875 and sunk by the British submarine B-11 on 13 December 1914.
