Italian shipyard at La Spezia building Venezuelan gunboats according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 15 June 1938 reporting that for Venezuelan account the 2-625 tons gunboats Orinoco and Urdanito were built at La Spezia, Italy. Their armament consisted of 2-10,2cm guns and 1-7,6cm anti aircraft gun. Speed 15 knots. Further were 3 submarines ordered, partly to be paid with products.
