Italian navy asked for budged needed for building battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 6


An item reported that the Italian navy intended to ask for a budget of 4 million pond sterling for building 4 battleships.(1)

1. The never realized Francesco Caracciolo-class consisting of the Francesco Caracciolo, Cristoforo Colombo, Marcantonio Colonna and Francesco Morini, never completed, with a main armament of 8-38,1cn/15” guns.
