Norwegian navy asked for a minelayer according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 9

An item reported that the Norwegian navy asked in the naval budget for 1915 for approval of the building of a fast minelayer.(1)

1. Probably the Frøja, launched at the Royal Norwegian Navy’s yard at Hjorten, Norway with yard number 108 on 20 June 1916, commissioned on 1 July 1918 and scuttled by her crew in the Stjørnfjord on 13 April 1940. Had a speed of 22 knots.
