An item reported that the administrative costs of the Royal British Navy increased with 426.379 pond sterling or 42% since 1904-1904 while the complete budget was increased with just 25%. When the special commission in the House of Commons asked for an explanation for the administrative costs was the answer that this was caused by the increased budget. The commission was however not satisfied with this answer while despite the naval budgeted was decreased between 1904-1908 the administrative costs expanded.
