Argentinean destroyer Mendoza launched at Nantes, France according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1911-1912 no. 3

An item reported the launching at the shipyard De la Brosse et Fouché, Nantes, France of the Argentinean destroyer Mendoza with a displacement of 950 tons. She was one of the 12 destroyers ordered at this French shipyard, the British firm Yarrow and the German Germania shipyard.(1)

Note
1. Built under the 1907 Program of apparently just the destroyers Catamarca and Jujuy built by the Germaniawerft, Kiel, Germany and La Plata and Córdoba, built by Schichau, Germany were commissioned in Argentinean service. The French built destroyers were commissioned in French service as the Aventurier-class consisting of the Opiniâtre, Aventurier, Téméraire and Intrépide. The ships built by Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, England were sold to Greece and renamed Aetos, Ierax, Panthir and Leon.
