New Elswick manufactured torpedoes for Brazil made of steel according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 7

An item reported that the by the British firm Elswich torpedo tubes delivered to Brazil were not made of bronze but steel resulting in a lower height. In contrary to the past were the tubes not longer closed with 8 wing nuts but now in the same manner as the British guns which was lighter and easier to handle.
