Argentinean suction dredger M.O.P. 217-C launched at Schiedam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Schiedamsche Courant dated 6 October 1928

An item reported the launching the same day at 09.30 o’clock at the shipyard Gusto trailing hopper M.O.P. 217-C launched suction dredger M.O.P. 217-C yard number 601 for account of the Argentinean cabinet. Supervisor was engineer Silari on behalf of Argentine. Bureau Veritas supervised the building. She was the largest of her kind until then built. The Schiedamsche Courant dated Monday 8th supplied more details. Dimensions 100 x 16 x 5,5o (fully loaded) x 7 (hold) metres. Speed when fully loaded 9 knots. Hopper capacity 2.800 ton. Suction depth maximum 15 metres and capacity 6.000 cubic meters/hour. Horsepower 4.000 hp. Was to go under own steam to her destination. At the launching were present the ambassador of Argentine, the embassy secretary and the consul at Rotterdam, Netherlands.
