British destroyer HMS Cygnet executing trials according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the British destroyer HMS Cygnet during a trial achieved a medium speed of 30,68 miles on the measured mile and during the 3 hours trial with 45 tons weight [ballast?] on board was the medium speed 30,37 miles.(1)

1. D-class destroyer, ordered under the 1896-1897 Naval Estimates, laid down by John I. Thornycroft, Chiswick, England with yard number 320 on 25 September 1897, launched on 3 September 1898, commissioned in February 1920 and sold to be broken up on 29 April 1920.
