British destroyer HMS Orwell executed official trials according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the British destroyer HMS Orwell, built by Laird, executed the official trials. The medium speed during the 3 hours trials was 30,2 miles and during 6 runs on the measured mile 30,7 miles.(1)

1. B-class, laid down by Laird, Son&Co., Birkenhead on 9 November 1897, launched on 28 September 1898, completed in 1900, sold to be broken up in 1920 and broken up in 1922.
